This report highlights behaviors/patterns I noticed when watching previous fights. The criteria I am looking for are things that occur multiple times across multiple fights. I view these as tendencies that are likely for the fighter to continue doing in the future.
I also try to capture general information to provide some insight into what type of fighter they are.
Hopefully there is something in here that can help. 👊

# General Notes

His last fight was in July 2022, and it's been two years since he's been in the cage. All his last five fights went to decision, with two being losses. Given the time off, he might have made changes or adjusted his fight style, so take this info with a grain of salt.

Overall, he seems comfortable getting deep on a shot, holding his opponent, and pressing them against the cage, repeatedly attempting takedowns throughout the round. This strategy dominates most of his cage time in the three fights I've watched, focusing more on control and persistence than going for a finish.

He occasionally works toward a submission but doesn't typically go for ground and pound. His focus seems to be on control and grappling rather than striking once he gets his opponent to the ground.

He has footage from his teenage years on YouTube, doing local smokers with other gyms. Even back then, his style was about shooting for takedowns and holding opponents against the cage. His approach has consistently focused on control.

# Stance

I always like throwing in a focused view of a fighters stance to get a feel for there general movement and rhythm.

He's an orthodox fighter, right hand always high and tight against his face, showing good defense. His lead foot angles inward, which is more of a boxing stance. That could make him vulnerable to calf kicks, as his positioning might make it harder to defend against those low attacks.

# Tendencies

Lozano likes to push opponents to the cage, grabbing their left leg with both hands. He often steps his leg over theirs to set up takedowns. His game seems to prioritize attacking one leg, even his double leg takedowns start from a single leg setup.
