General Notes
Blake Listello made his MMA debut in July 2022. The majority of his fights have been grappling-heavy.
Much of his success in striking comes when he starts fast, often finding success with his rear head kick. However, this seems more a result of chaos rather than tactical execution.
Listello stands at 5’11”, making him tall with a long reach for his weight class.
Stance & Movement
Listello is primarily a southpaw fighter. While he has started one fight from an orthodox stance, the majority of his time in the cage has been spent fighting from southpaw.
Listello adopts a low stance with a noticeable bend in the knees, using a boxing-style stance with a wide base and most of his weight on the front foot. Although it resembles a boxing stance, it’s not excessively bladed or angled.
Listello tends to keep his head forward with his chin typically tucked under the shoulder line. He does a good job backing up while keeping his chin protected. However, he often keeps his head and weight too far forward, which is noted in more detail in the tendencies section below.

Leading With the Head
Listello has a tendency to lead with his head forward, down, and in the center while advancing with strikes. He sometimes steps through with his punches during this movement. He may be vulnerable during these advances. Below are a few examples.
The Rear Head Kick
Listello frequently throws rear-leg head kicks, using them both in standard striking exchanges and during chaotic finishing sequences. His rear head kick appears to be his most dangerous technique.
